SEI Joins RTOP Team

SEI is teamed with ARCADIS on the Georgia Department of Transportation’s (GDOT) Regional Traffic Operations Program (RTOP), an initiative of GDOT to monitor and alleviate traffic congestion across the Metro-Atlanta region. The RTOP network consists of over 400 traffic signals within the greater Atlanta metro area. From the GDOT’s Traffic Management Center in Atlanta, SEI traffic engineers monitor operations of the RTOP network and traffic conditions during peak travel times.  When necessary, they perform active signal timing adjustments and troubleshoot any network problems. SEI also assists in revising and updating signal permits for traffic signals for RTOP network signals that allow for modifications to existing signal infrastructure in the field.
