City of Johns Creek Minor Capital Program
Traffic Engineering
The project includes evaluation of the City’s top 10 accident locations on state routes and the top 10 accident locations on local streets. Based on complied accident data, intersection improvement design alternatives are developed. In cooperation with city staff, the individual improvement concepts are prioritized based on a mix of factors including accident volume, improvement cost, and time to complete. The finalized project list is then presented as a program to the Mayor and City Council for adoption. Intersections that will require more significant improvements can be programmed for additional funding, with initial concept development coming from the program. Over time the program will continue to develop and new intersections will be evaluated and incorporated.
SEI provide traffic analysis, program development services, and initial design for the City of Johns Creek new Safety Improvements and Minor Capital Program. The goal of the program is to develop a prioritized list of safety oriented transportation improvements that can be accomplished with local funds. Projects should address significant safety and operational deficiencies in a cost effective manner, minimize right of way and utility impacts, and provide the citizens Johns Creek with the highest return on their capital investment funds.
